A21 Campaign

Abolishing Slavery

Clarety is helping to power the fight against slavery.

Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world, generating more than $150 billion USD every year. It’s believed there are more slaves in the world today than at any other point in human history.

The A21 #WalkForFreedom has become a global statement that slavery is not OK - arguably the largest anti-human trafficking event in history - an unmissable demonstration against modern day slavery – powered by Clarety.

The Problem

The Walk presents a formidable technical challenge, seamlessly enabling tens of thousands of registrations from 400 event locations in 50 countries, in multiple languages and currencies.

A21 needed a Supporter Engagement solution that would seamlessly manage registrations, communications, automation and peer-to-peer fundraising.

The Solution

A21 was already using the clarety.community supporter engagement platform for its regular giving, email marketing and website management, so it was a logical choice to also implement the peer-to-peer fundraising and event registrations functionality.

“The platform has made it possible to ensure that everyone is correctly registered, that we can easily communicate with all participants in a personalised and timely manner, and we can empower participants to generate awareness and raise funds among their own communities,” said Lexi Rogers, A21 #WalkForFreedom Coordinator.

Peer-to-peer fundraising is integrated into the registration process and every walker has the opportunity to fundraise or to give a one-off donation.  A21's Supporter Engagement Director, Kayla Henry, explains how vital social media integration is for the success of The Walk.

“Harnessing our social media presence and turning that into supporter engagement is really important for us to achieve our mission”, says Kayla.

“Walking is a way that anyone can support us. It gives our regular givers another way to engage, and introduces thousands of new people to our cause.”

We’re a small team who run a huge event that spans the globe, so marketing and event automation are key to multiplying our efforts.

Finding a supporter engagement solution that would handle peer-to-peer fundraising walk registrations and automated marketing seamlessly and have the capacity to grow to handle thousands of locations and hundreds-of-thousands of registrations was a big consideration.
