Mothers Day Classic

FINDING A CURE FOR BREAST CANCER

Clarety enhances event user experience.

From Alice Springs to Antarctica, the iconic Mother's Day Classic walk and run raises funds and awareness for life-saving breast cancer research.  Since starting in 1998, the annual event has grown to see more than 100,000 participants taking part in 90 locations simultaneously around the nation.

clarety.community has been the event's registration and donation platform since 2013, enabling the Mother's Day Classic Foundation to make a difference to all Australians affected by breast cancer. As the event grows, Clarety makes it easy for the team to manage the event and work towards the 2020 goal of raising $40million to find a cure for Australia's most commonly diagnosed cancer.

The Problem

The Women in Super Mother's Day Classic event continues to grow each year.  This growth coincides with a change in the way that donors and supporters like to contribute or participate in fundraising and awareness events in Australia.  Growth in the number of mobile searches and registrations meant that more people started to sign up for the Mother's Day Classic event via their smart phone.  The process for registering was becoming outdated the need for an upgrade to improve the user experience became very apparent.

The Solution

Having been the event’s registration platform since 2013, clarety.community is no stranger to the growth and complexity of the event and in 2018, launched a new web application to make the registration process as simple and as quick as possible.

The new app has vastly improved the user experience, making complex registrations simple. Best practice is to capture the right information in the smallest number of clicks possible, while making the user experience enjoyable.  clarety.community's registration platform has been a vital tool as the Mother's Day Classic team manages more than 90 annual events around Australia, receives donations and issue communications and receipts to keep the participants informed.

The Clarety system impresses us with its functionality and how it can be tailored to meet our specific business needs.

The visibility of participant data, dashboards with year-on-year comparisons and functionality to duplicate events with ease has not only lowered the time it takes administration staff to complete these tasks, but has enhanced the user experience for those who utilise the system on a daily basis.
